Wetlands meets Gorgeous Grunge

Cards For Men !!!

Well today is a cloudy day here in the West Mids, and I haven't got a recent card for you so I've found one I didn't post from January.  I've been really busy doing all the cards for March over the last few days as I like to be a month in advance.

It's a very simple card and I'm sure there are many more just like it out there in the world.   But I find men are so hard to find inspiration for.  Once you've done one for their kind of interests that's it don't you think. Well my friend is a fisher man so I hope this was suitable for him and he liked it.  I send him a card both birthday and christmas but don't see him anymore so never very sure if either he or his son like the cards I send them.  I know I like the ones I get from him though.

I combined the wetlands and gorgeous grunge stamps at the bottom then used the birds from up up and away and the sentiment from Wetlands again.

The materials used are:
Card stock: shimmery white, soft suede
Ink: crumb cake, soft suede, versaMark
Embossing powder: early expresso (retired)
Stamp sets: gorgeous grunge, up up and away (retired), wetlands

Accessories: linen thread

Will be back again soon with more cards

Guy Greetings

For A Great Guy
Today I'm showing a card I made for one of our neighbours he's a great guy and always has time to say hello and have a chat.  In fact if Roy goes to the shops and takes more than ten minutes I know he's bumped into Dave and will probably be well over half an hour, they could win a talk for Britain competition if there was one.

I have also had a breakthrough as this card has NO retired elements on it, well done me. I'm so glad that the woodland textured embossing folder has not been retired off after all.

The materials used are:
Ink:Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, Soft Suede
Card stock: Early Expresso, Whisper White
Stamps: Boys Will Be Boys, Gorgeous Grunge, Guy Greetings
Embossing folders: Woodland Textured
Framelits: Lots of Labels
Thinlits: Gift Card Envelope
Accessories: Candy Dots

Will be back again soon with more cards

Gorgeous Grunge Man

My Mans' Birthday

My husband tells everyone that my cards cost him at least £1000 each, so I felt sore wrists or not I better make him one or he might divorce me and I can't have that as I love him too much.  He's also very good to me, and looks after all the family (there's a lot of us) without moaning too much.

I don't know about you but I have real problems with male cards and can never really think of good ideas, but this one just seemed to fall into place and he said next time I make him a card I shouldn't just chuck the ink on, but he loved it really.

Have made 2 other cards for men that I'm quite pleased with but can't show them until after the 9th December.

Love being back in the craftroom, but still not a hundred percent yet. Physio is killing me.

Gorgeous grunge meets Flower shop

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Today's card was one I made for my Granddaughter, she's the eldest of my grandchildren and growing up too fast. Her favourite colours are purple and yellow or they were last year, so hopefully they are again this year.

Still under the weather, went to the dentist two weeks ago and now have a throat infection and feel I need to go back to the dentist as my teeth still hurt.

Slowly catching up with my bloggy as I'm now only about a month behind

Card stock: Perfect plum, Shimmery white, So saffron, Whisper white
Stamps: Gorgeous grunge, Flower shop, Relationship (NSU)

Gorgeous grunge for a Gorgeous Son

Hello there, so glad you dropped by

Well I"m now officially OLD, my eldest has just turned 40 so he's now middle aged which makes me old. He's taken up cycling in a big way and now bikes all the time so looks quite fit, by 40 I was over the hill. On his birthday he biked 40 miles to celebrate and that isn't really a long ride for him to do, I wouldn't be able to do 40 metres.  But using my treadmill I walk about 3 miles most days.
I thought I'd use up some of my old stash with this card as there are up to date alternatives so hope you like it!!

The materials used are:

Inks: Midnight muse (retired), Summer starfruit (retired)
Card stock: Glimmer paper silver,Midnight muse (retired), Summer starfruit (retired), Whisper white
Card base: None SU
Stamps: Big day (retired), Gorgeous grunge
Embossing folder: Decorative dots
Framelits: Starburst
Thinlits: Hello you, Numbers (NSU)

Alternative colours for this card would be Crushed curry and Night of navy.
Inspiration came from Erika Simmons on Pinterest

Will be back again soon with more cards
